Margin on an Operator Licence

It is always a good idea to have margin, or spare spaces on your O Licence. If a vehicle is off the road or is in for repairs having a margin will negate the need to remove the off road vehicle from the licence.

The simplest way to have a margin is to ensure you factor this in when you apply for you Operator Licence. If this isn't possible then it can be done at a later date, however, this will incurr addition costs.

You will need to pay for a Public Notice in the local Newspaper and pay the application fee. (Currently £257).

If you need to add Margin, or indeed extra vehicles quickly you also need to apply for interim authority at the additional cost of £68.
