Inspect your inspections!

Don't take it for granted that your maintenance provider is doing the job according to best practice or even to a legally standard.

Once you are in possession of your latest PMI report ensure the following:

  • Has the vehicle been signed off fit for road?

  • Have any repairs been signed off by the mechanic?

  • Has a proper brake test been performed and are the results noted on the inspection sheet?

  • Has the mileage been recorded along with the vehicle registration number and the date?

Remember, it is YOUR responsibility as the Operator to ensure that the PMI paperwork is correct and should there be issues it is YOUR licence that is at risk!
